Very interesting. And it's a HM proof, you say? I've never seen any Silmarillion proofs, as I said --& would like to see some images of it (--perhaps you could email me privately?) Have you seen/heard of any UK proofs? I'd imagine either are pretty uncommon too. Did you pick it up pretty cheap?

Hi Khamul,
Indeed, it is a HM Proof. I will email you photos later tonight when I get home. Never heard of any UK Proofs (though they may well exist) other than the Dummy Copy of course and a couple of advance review copies (with review slip laid in) which are identical to the standard 1st Trade Printing. Can't remember what I paid for it off-hand (again it's on my spreadsheet at home) but somehow I doubt it was cheap. Best Wishes.
