I recently bought this book by professor Tolkien's Belgian philologist friend Simonne D'Ardenne. On the third page there is this interesting dedication:
PROFESSOR J.R.R. TOLKIEN Professor D'Ardenne also refers to Tolkien's 1962 edition of Ancrene Wisse at the beginning of the prefatory note: It follows in most respects the principles stated in the prefatory note to the various editions of the Ancrene Riwle published in that series, especially that by Professor Tolkien (no. 249, 1962) Just wanted to bring this to your attention, as I did not know about this book before.
