My Copy is the 26th Impression (identified as third printing 1989 within the book) which is correctly credited on the back as

Cover Illustration by Ted Nasmith

As the price is cheaper on Mark's copy then it must be the 25th Impression.

Can anyone who has a copy of either the 25th or 26th 1989 paperback check who it states it is illustrated by, I expect all the 25th's to be Roger and the 26th's Ted.

They told Ted Nasmith at the time

"Yes I knew about it at the time--there's a collectible, eh? [Of course it's easy to confuse our two styles....LOL] ~Ted"

The problem here is that this is Ted's first illustration for Unwin Paperbacks and it is attributed to another illustrator, very poor

My copy is a 25th Impression (identified as second printing 1989 within the book) and shows the £2.99 prce and the Roger Garland credit (with the Ted Nasmith cover).

Of course the 24th impression actually had a Roger Garland cover.

I've got the 25th with the incorrect Garland credit at £2.99,
also the 26th (1989 third) correctly credited and priced at £2.99
together with another 26th (1989 third) with the price at £3.50.
Plot thickens.

That is interesting, as normal I was wrong in making assumptions, about the price, but the correct illustrator seems to have been corrected on all the 26th printings
