Possibility of another deluxe collection boxset

After recently finding out that I missed yet another deluxe edition slipcase book and paying a heavy sum to get it (believe it or not. The only one I managed to get at release -- Children of Hurin Deluxe Edition -- I got for 31 USD), I have decided that it was finally time to register at a collector's forum. So here I am :)

Anyhow. What I would be really interested to know is whether Harper Collins hinted at the release of any future deluxe collection set, including all the earlier books.

The last one was released in 2012, if I remember correctly.

Would love to get my hands on a copy of Tales from the Perilous Realm without paying 200-300 quid.

I am sure that David Miller (www.tolkienbookshelf.com) will not mind me sharing this with everyone, but he has recently been producing two slipcases for the current UK deluxe editions, and you can inquire with him on his website as to cost and when they may be available for purchase.

Those are just slipcases for the existing collections though, aren't they? No news on when a new collection including the latest books may hit the streets?

Sorry, but no news at the present.

I can't really see an outer slipcase for the entire collection being practical at this stage, given that there are now 9 books and some of them are reasonably substantial. Perhaps a collection of the final four of five might be put together?

The ones that David Miller has produced are clearly much more solid than HarperCollins would ever produce, and even with those, the collection is split into two.

To be honest, I have a couple of sets of the first "outer slipcased" set that I got when they came out and they are just packed away - I think the whole slipcase in a slipcase thing looks fussy and I prefer to just have the books on the shelf as is.

Horses for courses, though!

How come one of them has a felt lining and the other doesn't?
