Collector's Marketplace >> Thinking of selling Silmarillion. red leather bound edition (limited 1000 )
You can add me to the list as well ;)
I don't think you will have any trouble selling this. They are uncommon enough that there will probably always be buyers.

As Wayne makes clear in his post around 270 were bound up. There were definitely 100 signed copies, leaving ~170 unsigned copies. That's the way I read it at the time. Therefore, the unsigned copy while rare is hardly to be described as (I'm looking at you, Trotter!) "probably scarcer than the signed copies".
They may have bound 170 copies, but does not mean that GA&U sold them all, but I think all 100 signed copies were sold.
I think that hardly any copies of the unsigned were sold, and stick to my claim that they are probably scarcer than the signed copies, but still not as collectable as the signed copies, and (I'm looking at you Khamûl!)

Wow a book Stu doesn't have!
Trust me, I probably have the least books of all the regulars on here! My collection is actually fairly diminutive :)
The list of UK Tolkien editions I don't have is much bigger than the list of ones I do!
Sorry, still here, just been busy with life (Work, family etc).
Yes I'm still interested in selling it.
I can post pics here if people want and you can make an offer if you like.
I'd be happy to do that before I goto Ebay.
