I cam across this and noticed its not in http://www.tolkienbooks.net/ so I thought I would post it here.

It contains "Riddles in the Dark" and seems to have been published by three different publishers in a short time frame:

https://www.amazon.com/Over-Rainbow-Ta ... Imagination/dp/086178295X

It may be that the book was published in the USA (not the UK) which would explain it not being on TolkienBooks.net. Though it looks like maybe one of those goodreads links could be a UK edition? Not sure.

I have a copy of The Fantastic Imagination from 1977 which is quite similar to Over the Rainbow. It collects a fragment or two from a lot of "high fantasy" authors, including "Riddles in the Dark". I think these were quite common in the day, I would have to dig through my notes/etc. to see what other books collected "Riddles" as well. Or even "Goblin Feet", that seemed to appear everywhere for a few years...

I was actually looking for a USA edition and couldn't find one (Im working on a bibliography of US Tolkien-related work). The three publishers above are all UK based it would seem.

As far as I can remember (I set my rules >10 year ago!) I didn't list reprint of extracts from the major works.
Where do you draw the line as to what to include? - a sentence, a paragraph, a page, a chapter....

Makes sense. For my own collecting criteria I generally draw the line at a chapter.
