Today I ordered the Farmer Giles of Ham anniversary edition (HarperCollins), edited by Hammond and Scull, from a Swedish internet bookshop. The product description did not mention which anniversary, and the image of the cover of the book was too small to read the text. Now, I'm being a little confused on the alternative covers I've seen on Amazon.uk:

The cover of this edition clearly says 60th Anniversary Edition, and it makes sense since the edition is said to be published in December 2008. However, since the product description says: "This is the 50th anniversary edition...", I wonder if any new material was added to the 60th Ann. Ed.?

The 60th anniversary edition is the 50th, rebranded for the occasion. (When we first saw it, we wondered where the ten years had gone since we worked on Farmer Giles.) No new material was added, and no corrections were made, though we've listed some on our web site.

Sorry, somehow we missed the thread about this in 2009, or would have commented at the time.
