I noticed today that HarperCollins are closing down the forum attached to the web site (http://www.tolkienforum.co.uk/) on the 4th February.

I am amazed it has lasted this long as it has very little to do with Tolkien.

Obviously, no one at HarperCollins has access to a calender as the website that closed yesterday is still online.

It is shut down now - redirects to tolkien.co.uk homepage.

I suppose one could always visit the forum at theonering.net; and there happily discuss everything from "leggy's" love interests to the role of the warrior elf-maiden "Itaril" in the upcoming Hobbit movie.
