La Asociación Tolkien Argentina (ATA) está integrada por entusiastas de la obra de J.R.R. Tolkien, que se han propuesto crear un espacio para compartir su afición por este autor, comprender más profundamente su creación y difundirla en el país.

La ATA fue creada por un pequeño grupo de lectores, que en sus comienzos llegó a publicar un boletín por año. A partir de mediados de 1998 la Asociación comenzó a difundirse y fue convocando de a poco a más y más gente. Esto requirió, por supuesto, un nuevo tipo de organización administrativa que desde 1999 encaminó a la ATA hacia un desarrollo más sólido y le dio una mayor difusión.

Founded in 1967, The Mythopoeic Society is a non-profit international literary and educational organization for the study, discussion, and enjoyment of fantastic and mythic literature, especially the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Charles Williams. Membership in the Mythopoeic Society is open to all scholars, writers, and readers of these literatures.

The Society sponsors three periodicals. Mythprint is a monthly bulletin of book reviews, articles, events and other notices of interest to Society members. Mythlore is the Society's peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarly articles on mythic and fantastic literature. Finally, Mythic Circle is a literary annual of original poetry and short stories.
