New research by author Christopher L. Robinson, a professor of English at HEC-Paris, examines what makes the personal and place names of Tolkien's Middle-Earth so fitting. The nomenclature within Tolkien's novels is very carefully done, taking into consideration attributes such as etymology, symbolism, and onomatopoeia.

This final progress report includes important information about transportation (e.g., the Michigan Flyer ) from various airports, including Detroit ( DTW ), and arranging for the Kellogg Conference Center shuttle to pick you up, once you arrive in East Lansing. This is an exciting week! Not only do we see the publication of Tolkien's Fall of Arthur, we also have a chance to go and see the original manuscript in an exhibition at the Bodleian Library.

December 2012. Back from a quick trip to London, and quite by chance, I opened a book. It’s not a book I open often, and when I do, it’s usually somewhere in the middle. (It?s a precious book, and the binding needs careful hands.) This time, the book opened to the front endpapers, and a loose sheet of paper slipped out. Exhibition, I read. Opening days: November 23rd until Christmas.  Place: Leicester Square. And I thought, Oh my goodness, we were there last week, how could I have missed it? What a shame! Now, I confess that was a very fleeting thought, as the date was indeed November 23 to Christmas, but the year was  1912 , fully a century ago.
