Oakland won the bid for the 1964 Worldcon, inspiring the local fan group to revive it's long dormant (1950's) fanzine. Only two issues published in this incarnation before con preparation pressures became too great. Ed Meskys says (The View From Entropy Hall #12), "Al was a great Tolkien enthusiast and had compiled a giant card-file of all proper names in LotR and HOBBIT, giving page references, relationships to other characters or places or things, and a definition if necessary. He published the first part of it in the second RD." This article was republished in Niekas #9, as well as the second part in a later Niekas issue.
