Another fine listing from Mark Faith and a £159 bargain.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/J-R-R-Tolki ... ks_UK&hash=item3cc17a1234

Unwin paperbacks 1977 impressions, special slipcase editions. Scuffing to spines, but books are stiff, unread. I've never seen one of these before and I sell a lot of Tolkien. It must be rare! A must for any complete collection. As far as we know this is the only known printing of the story- The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth.

I can only find five examples for sale on Abe (at much more sensible prices), http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/Sea ... +Hobbit+and+Other+Stories

No it is not. It is also printed in Essays and Studies by Members of the English Association(1953), and most paperback copies (EDIT published after 1976) of Tree and Leaf

What a joke. I bought my 3rd imp. in June for £40 in a bookshop I usually regard as overpriced!

I know, look at the smug ______ thumbing through it. That's probably his (unsigned) reading copy!
