Yip! Earlier today Amazon.com stated it had been shipped to UK as well. Although '22nd Sept' is estimated arrival in UK!

Sounds good. Don't know about later impressions specifically lacking particular features; but vol's 1-4 (first impressions) have dyed top page edges.

Interestingly Andy at ADCbooks states that a copy of BoLTs I 1rst/1rst passed through his hands without dye; and that this was as issued (i.e. no sign of faded dye under scrutiny with magnifying glass.) Which all sounds perfectly possible with HoME...

Still pretty confused about this publication!

Thornton's state that the 'for friends' copies were run on from the original run (of 100?); and are 1 of 12 i.e. the marbled boards copy recently for sale. I bought this, and it is not marked, lettered, or numbered in any way; although obviously it is hard bound unlike all other copies.

Damn it! It's now £2.48 (49p + £1.99 sourcing fee). Still seems rather cheap though...

HM are publishing the book in mid August according to Amazon; so one assumes the '1st August' release for the audio may be in error (Yes/No?). Would the audio precede the book?; don't think so. Think I'm just going to piggyback 49p audio with the book. They'll undoubtedly be available pretty close to each other you would think...

Strange that HC aren't publishing on this side of the pond though (if this is the case). Resident HC-buddy Beren may know more of the reason(s) behind this!

When CoH UK DeLuxe edition was listed originally, it was mistakenly at 80p; the price was perhaps intended to be £80. I ordered 5 copies; and they promtly arrived invoiced at £4 for all five! Amazon did honour, despite several people making the error known to them before they were processed. So I'd bang in a few orders and see what arrives...

I'm sure Parmastahir, who regularly updates this forum on his Tolkien calendar collecting (over in the 'Calendar' part of the forum), would be more than happy to advise you on where to sell (and who to perhaps).

Either that or eBay. Since I don't seriously collect calendars I'll leave value & collectability to those who know more...
