Dear Trotter
I'm very sorry but your pre-order has now expired. We are only able to store payment details for 90 days maximum.

We have now updated our website so that the option is not available to pre-order prior to the 90 days. If you would still like the item then please order it again via our website once the function becomes available. If the item is more expensive please provide me with your new order number so that I can refund the difference.

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

No idea what is going on with them, but felt I should make members aware of this, very strange, and looks like they have not refunded me, once they cancelled the order, not good.

That is pretty bizarre. I also ordered this set from them and just checked the status; it still says 'On Order' but I wonder if it's just a matter of time before I get the same notice. A bit odd too that if you re-order, they have to refund the difference on a case by case basis.

I would hazard a guess that their payment system agreement has tightened controls over storing customer payment information. They are not supposed to charge your credit card until the items ships, so they have to have all of your payment info stored in a database until the item is available. With all the security hacks going on all over the Internet, that's a rich target!


Do you know for certain that they charged you when the order was placed? That's a different problem, then, and not legal.

Yeah, I thought they only charged when the item shipped, and the discussion of refund was just if you re-ordered and it was more expensive.

I pre-ordered the set in August and my card was charged at that time.
