Hi all, just saw a listing for The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien on Amazon UK with no price and on Amazon Germany with a price of €30.58 from William Morrow & Co (who are a division of HarperCollins). 608 pages, which is surely wrong?

This happened last year as well - see this thread for that conversation. At that time, the publisher (Houghton Mifflin) told me that there was no new edition coming out that year, which was true as we have seen. I will ask again and see if they can comment at all (William Morrow is part of the US branch of HarperCollins, so this year's listing is still an American edition that is being hinted at) - it seems likely that something might be coming, but it could be just a cover refresh, or it might vanish once again a "the book that might have been".

From what I have been told there's nothing concrete planned by any of the publishers, same as last year. I expect to see these listings cleared out of the various retailer databases soon.
