Looks fake. Need to kick it down some stairs to make it look genuine.remy wrote:
I am just shocked to see an Amazon Shipping Box in such nice condition....
A very rare item......

If a box isn't curious enough, try this bubble mailer:
If I order the RoP bubble mailer, will it come in the RoP box? 😀
I personally don't see this RoP mailer as a wonder. Would I buy it? Hell no! But these sorts of items are all a part of collecting. I had two Children of Hurin deluxe outer mailers. Sold one outer for £40 back in the day (the price offered for it from someone who really wanted one). I don't see this bubble mailer as being different.
To someone who likes promotional packaging and Rings of Power, which there are plenty of people who do, this is a relatively inexpensive item that will give them a little buzz and adds what they deem a cool little item to their collection.

I certainly don't begrudge people collecting RoP stuff, it's just that a soft packet like that is one of those thing that in 20 years people will wonder who had the foresight to keep it. ^_^
Given the dearth of tie-in products, there's practically nothing to collect (yet?) that's "RoP merch" (aside from a few bits of jewellery etc), except ephemeral stuff like this...

One of the worst fakes I’ve ever seen.
You should always exercise good judgement and perform appropriate due-diligence when acquiring signed items to ensure that you are satisfied with the provenance and integrity of any item you bid on.

This is a hardcover edition of "The Return of the King", the third part of the "Lord of the Rings" series by J.R.R. Tolkien. The book was published by Allen & Unwin in 1977, and is the 2nd edition, 5th impression. It is written in English and falls under the fantasy genre. The book has been well-preserved and is in excellent condition.
It is actually a library paperback rebind, with pages missing and the usual array of library markings 🤦
