Yeh, I mentioned it before:
Lucky Finds (Post #10)
Still, if you rule out the luck of this find, I also won an auction on eBay for a better copy (with employee note) for £92 a few years back. So, I think $425/£275 is a little high.

Agree Khamul but a nice book to have in collection. It wasnt on for long at all so appears demand strong. Think this is the highest i have seen paid for such a copy?
Looks like Mark Faith of Festival Art and Books bought it, as it has just popped up on Abebooks for £695 --so, again, not bought by a collector.

Another fine listing from Mark Faith and a £159 bargain.

It must be rare!
I can only find five examples for sale on Abe (at much more sensible prices),https://affiliates.abebooks.com/c/9724 ... t%2Band%2BOther%2BStories
As far as we know this is the only known printing of the story- The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth
No it is not. It is also printed in Essays and Studies by Members of the English Association(1953), and most paperback copies (EDIT published after 1976) of Tree and Leaf

Unwin paperbacks 1977 impressions, special slipcase editions. Scuffing to spines, but books are stiff, unread. I've never seen one of these before and I sell a lot of Tolkien. It must be rare! A must for any complete collection. As far as we know this is the only known printing of the story- The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth.
