Nice. Have we not seen this Miramar quote before though? (Is the Tolkien dealer not DM?) I seem to recall it being mis-used the last time it popped up (& discussed here on TCG); although I'm not suggesting it's being mis-used in this case.

Interesting. I wonder what became of the lone bidder on the last auction. Perhaps they miscounted the zeroes before hitting the bid button.

Not eBay, but...
I found that New Worlds, Nr. 168 from November 1966, containing the Daphne Castell interview with Tolkien, is available for quite decent prices at Amazon.co.uk. I ordered a copy today.

Incidentally, a copy is being offered on eBay as well:

I already own a copy. It contains a really interesting interview from one of Tolkien's former students.
Congrats on the find...

Nice enough condition for the price, so it seems like a good thing to point out (to the lurkers more than you regulars who already have many copies...)

Just noticed this -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Fellowshi ... ction&hash=item588f5b12eb
Is it odd that I recognized it as a fourth printing because of the font on the spine?
