From TORN: "Fans around the world right now are screaming with joy." I suspect you're not among of these fans, Khamul!
These are the same fans that squeal with delight eveytime a new plastic action figure or movie prop replica is unveiled.
My question about a third film is; will it be The Hobbit broken up into three parts, or will it be the so-called "bridge" movie that was proposed by jackson originally.

A concern of mine is that early editions of The Hobbit will now rise even more in price (and it will take longer for them to fall, if ever). I will likely never afford a Hobbit from the 40s or 50s!
Don't worry Morgan, prices will come back down again; just wait until all the film hype has died down... in 5+ years time!

I just read this quote on J.R.R. Tolkien's Hobbit from Philippa Boyens
"Great actors come to you for the material and if you give them very slight material, you're just not going to get them. We wanted to write for these great actors"

Why make the film at all if you think so little of the source material?
I would have thought that you could attract great actors by producing a film of, arguably, the most successful children's novel, The Hobbit.

I'm going to go & see it, but I can't say I'm looking forward to it that much. The reviews have all been quite muted, saying the extra frame stuff is pretty poor & the plot is just too small to stretch over three films; or at least the first film doesn't have enough material in it. It doesn't sound that good.
