Yes, I am aware of their commission bid system, but I am leery (in general of absentee bid systems, but also due to one of the terms for this particular auction for hidden reserves). Thus wanting someone on the ground - possibly even on the phone with me for live bidding.

Anything in particular of interest in the auction?

Well, for me (and I am probably shooting myself in the foot here)...

Single digit numbered Mallorns and Amon Hen #1 (under it's original name Henneth Annûn)...

Plus some other fun fanzines that are not critical for me to get but would be fun.

Shh! Don't tell everyone!

Although the main factor preventing me from buying much will be my current course of dental treatment, which is going to cost me LOTS.

I will be there; I will arrive some time in the afternoon on Thursday but not on time for the first talk. I have to depart before the closing ceremony on Monday.

A good time was had by all. The best Tolkien event I have been to I think - in 21 years!

Indeed!

My only regrets were (a) not stirring myself to go to more sessions (which was completely my own fault), and (b) the auction starting too late for me to go to (which at least meant I didn't spend any money there). Did you buy much, Deagol?
