All told, it cost just under 1000 for the rebinding, but I also asked them to send along the brass dies they had made to stamp the luthien devices in the cover and spine, so that brought the total up to just around 1100. I really wanted to have a slpcase made for it, but my budget was already stretched to the limit as it was. I'm about to order one from thetolkienbookshelf to use until I can have a custom one made.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience. The only problem is that I now have an unstoppable urge to have rebindings of The Hobbit, LotR, and Unfinished Tales. :)

Wow, I'd love to have more information on some of these Bakshi items. I have been collecting Bakshi stuff for a long time and have never seen those two standees. I tried to reach out to Andy via Twitter but I really don't what I am doing with that site. I think I tweeted to him??

Hi Tapuvae,

yes, you tweeted to him - I will do so as well and point him to this discussion so hopefully he will be able to answer some of your questions (either there or here).

Also I will see if I can photograph or find existing pics of some of my Bakshi collectibles, as I think it would be fun to share.

Hi, I believe that the 2 posters were available through the Fan Club. I have quite a nice Fan Club introductory pack. Sorry I don't have any other details regarding the standees.

Andy, any chance I can get in touch with you via email?

So the top two items are posters not books or pamphlets?

Then it looks like a calendar with Frodo and the rings on it.

What is to the right of the Gandalf standee? It looks like a white envelope.

Thanks
Chris
