It was a real shame how the BBC presented this. The original, an update and the extra interview stuff would be ideal for a Hobbit 80th special, with the extra interview stuff not used put into a DVD/BR release as extras, it would work quite well and would sell well as a limited edition.

Just watched that video posted by Trotter.

Wow 2 hours of Tolkien were filmed, and between the Tolkien in Oxford video and the new radio program we only have about 10 minutes. This is ridiculous. Why can't they just post the uncut video on their website? I would rather listen to the original interview without any commentary. Maybe just add subtitles
