Coghill, Nevill (1899-1980), one of the "Additional Participants" during the meetings of the Inklings:

A collection of mostly autograph letters and postcards from Nevil Coghill to David Luke and a few replies. All in all about 50 pages handwritten in ink + some postcards. The pages are in most cases covered in writing from top to bottom, often ending in the margins. Some of Coghill's letters and cards are written from Merton college Oxford, most of the others from his home in Aylburton and are dated between 1961 and 1974, although there are 6 undated letters.

Professor Nevill Henry Kendal Aylmer Coghil (1899-1980), published a famous translation of the Canterbury Tales. He was one of the Inklings, mostly academics at the universityof Oxford.
