Day zero: August 6th - Urulókë’s report

Arrived in Heathrow around 7AM with little sleep, took the 9:30 express bus to Birmingham (with an hour of sleep), then helped unpack art for the show and move some things around for the venue for a few hours. A very nice reception at the art show, then a great Innmoot at Bacchus for a few hours with many friends old and new. More notes after I finally get sone sleep! The main kickoff is tomorrow at noon. I’ve already scoped out a few hundred pounds of materials from the dealers room I want to nab first thing.

It should be a great week. If you are here, post your own thoughts as well.

Have fun guys, I am sad I am not there with you. Send some updates and it would be super cool to see all the TCG members that are in Birmingham on a joint picture as a team

Looks lovely. Please keep the reports and pics coming. I always like reading them and imagining what it must be like to attend one of these.

Thank you for sharing Trotter!!! I got links from the lectures already via Twitter but very nice of you to share it with the rest of the community. I hope that we will see a joint picture of TCG members that have attended the Tolkien 2019 event.

The last video was not on Twitter, and unfortunately we did not do an official group photo that had everyone in it from TCG, an opportunity missed

Awww, that is a shame I must attend next time.
