"Beautiful set of The Lord of Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien with illustrations by Alan Lee published by Houghton Mifflin 1992, first and only printing.
Centenary Edition boxed set of 3 volumes in publisher's slipcase.
Books are done in blue linen cover with silver embossing and have many illustrations throughout each volume. Each book measures about 10 x 6 3/4 inches. Slipcase measures 10 1/4 by 6 3/4 deep and 3 1/2 wide.
These were in storage for over 20 years, they did have an old cardboard box smell to them which has been dissipating with time. Blue slipcase has wear and scratches on edges, bottom, and sides but is not ripped or torn at the seams. Volume 1 has a few tiny dog-eared pages. Volume 2 has a few pages with a tiny nick/tear in them, see photos. No writing or other damage that I could find. Dust jackets have a bit of wear and some impressions.
Will be happy to send any more photos/info that you request, just send me a message.
