The copies that Mr. Underhill pictured were my original copies, but I have upgraded them over the years, he can now do the same if he wants.

Pretty happy with the current set, apart from the faded spine on the RotK and the Fellowship is warped, but I am using weights on it to try and get it back to the original shape, this process seems to be working but takes a long time.

I would love to replace my RotK with a copy with an unfaded spine, but I don't think I have ever seen one.

Does anyone have a copy like this, please post a picture if you do?

Those look amazing for a paperback. Honestly better than most hardbacks I’ve seen.

Some of you may know I am big niche collector of US 1938 Hobbits. Well, I was getting a little annoyed at the current asking prices and not being able to negotiate much on those books.

So, I decided to buy something a little different…a Tolkien letter. It is nothing earth shattering, but it is a little holiday note from Tolkien to his driver, a Mrs. Parke, with Tolkien’s initials and a hand drawn holly. Written in December 1968.

Here’s an entry on the letter:

That’s more awesome in my opinion. That belongs in a glass case on permanent display. Nice pickup Lance :)
