Congratulations remy !
First time I'm seing one with an unfaded spine.
Guess you've completed one of the 2 rarest achievements in the life of a Tolkien's completist :
1. Owning a copy of the New Dialect of the Huddersfield District with the dust jacket
2. Owning a copy of the Inklings with an unfaded spine.

Congrats remy!!!
Indeed, never seen this book without a faded spine. Where did you find it?
Many thanks.
Found it last week on ABE (newly listed). No Photo with the listing but took a chance as it was not expensive. Could have asked for photos but feared it may be sold in the meantime. Was very sceptical that it was actually unfaded but delighted when I opened the package!
Think there was a stock photo showing a faded DJ - so had to read the description.
This is the listing:
"Title: The Inklings: C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles Williams, and their friends
Author: Carpenter, Humphrey
Quantity: 1
Book Description: Octavo. 287 Page's. Illustrated. A Near Fine copy in like-wise Near Fine dust-wrapper. Free from any mark's, book-plate's, inscription's, under-lining, etc. The Dust-wrapper (£6.50) has NOT been price clipped. No fading to any part of the book (Not left in direct sun light to fade)
ISBN: 9780048090119
Binding: Hardcover
Book Condition: Near Fine"

I bought these back in May but finally decided to take pictures. They are in archival sleeves - excuse the plastic glare/waviness, sorry.
1970 set of four posters titled Hobbit Folk, very good condition

Very nice set of posters, do we know the name of the illustrator?

I have not been able to figure out the artist yet, but the images come from the board game "Conquest of the Ring" (also copyright 1970) from the same company, "The Hobbit Cards and Games, Inc."

I really like the characters with their illustration style from the 60s. I couldn't find anything about this illustrator for these posters and board games either.

Apologies for poor photo - DJ is more green in real life.
Congratulations Remy

I've been looking forever as well. Congrats - I didn't believe such a thing even existed. Now remember to keep it in the dark and keep it cold!
