Doing some catching up on new releases this time around, but did get the Literary Review with Catherine McIlwaine’s article and a fine 1st US Sir Gawain and the Green Knight / Pearl / Sir Orfeo.

Is TStudies now POD? I stopped buying it around vol. X. Update please, Urulókë!

Also, is that a carpet/rug or a throw? Either way, nice. And nice books too...

I don't think it's a POD, just a paperback edition since number 12. I stopped buying them since number 13 for they changed the format, but not the price. 70$ for a small paperback shipped internationally is a bit too much.

They are definitely now using Print on Demand for the most recent issues (I just asked). All of my copies of the paperback issues (which started from Volume 12, 2015) have the code on the last page lower corner, and the one issue I missed at the time (2017) has a 2019 date code in it when I ordered the back issue, so I think we can reasonably say all of the paperback issues are PoD. The staff person I talked to wasn't certain for all of the older paperbacks, but certain about all of the recent issues.

It is a throw my wife got for me as a Christmas present a few years back, makes for a nice background for pictures. ?

There's also a White Tree of Gondor one in a similar style, which is quite nice :)

There are a*ton* of cheap unauthorized knockoff throws on Amazon and eBay, etc. that I would recommend avoiding. I do like the quality of the one I have, which was an official licensed product from Warner Brothers (thus movie and a Tolkien Enterprises license, not an Estate/HarperCollins one). No longer available, but they do show up on eBay occasionally like this one. I've attached the back of the woven tapestry throw packaging, as it has more info for anyone interested.

Well, October has been productive. Illustrated CGtME came from Australia, UT came from the UK. I bought UT from the original owner, who bought it new in '92 for RRP, as shown by the sticker on the back. Both books show a little wear, but I'm not unhappy. Quite the opposite, as a matter of fact!

Nice job Caudimordax ! Finally the wait was not so long :)
So I think we saw 4 copies sold this year (yours, mine, Stu's, and another one sold by Laurel last january.)
The one in average conditions seen on ebay 2 months ago hasn't sold at last.

Urulókë congrats for your last acquisitions !
Regarding the new Lord of the rings houghton mifflin's paperback edition, shouldn't this come with a boxset initially?

Thanks buddy! Not quite as crisp as your copy, but it'll do

I think we should count "Schroedinger's Purple UT" in your list of sold copies this year. While I fully expected the seller to relist at a higher price, my gut tells me the buyer doubled down with a more aggressive offer in private messages. After all, she "only" forgot to add a single zero at the end of the price, for a grand total of some £250!

FYI the new 40th anniversary UT flushed my copy out onto the market, as the seller was looking to "upgrade". Perhaps the count will increase in the coming months!
