And, by the way, a hearty welcome to adam! We will get you sorted, and hopefully get your collection growing. Your questions are welcome here. 😁

Thank you so much! Tolkien fans are the best. Excited to be here. Been a long time Tolkien fan, stumbled across this site and glad I did!

Amazon Uk has listed Tales from the Perilous Realm in hardcover, seems to be a reprint but of course it could be to coincide with the latest illustrated editions (speculation).

Also I spotted Sir Gawain and the Green Knight: with Pearl and Sir Orfeo in paperback. I think the cover of this paperback is quite exquisite.

Man, I didn't have to wait long on my hopes for this volume to materialize. Thanks for the heads-up!

Edit: You'd think as a member of a Tolkien site, my reading comprehension would be better. Hoping SGatGK gets the hardback treatment soon!

Unfortunate that Sir Gawain still has yet to appear in standard hardback format by HarperCollins. Interesting that they gave Tales From the Perilous Realm a brand new ISBN, rather than just re-issuing the 2008 edition.

Does anybody know anything about the Kindle edition of the Hobbit that was published yesterday in the UK? Publisher listed as 'Alpha and Omega'.

EDIT: I have removed the link to the book. If it turns out to be a legal version then I will add it back but until or if Urulókë confirms one way or the other I don't think I should link to what is likely a pirate copy.

I don’t know anything on the recent kindle edition you refer to but there is the enhanced ebook version. I’ve had that 3yrs at least. Does the kindle one mention enhanced/audio content?

The edition I posted about seems to be a standard edition but it is strange as the Kindle edition has been available for years. Why there would be an edition released yesterday by a publisher other than HarperCollins is a little weird.

Urulókë do you think this is something that needs reporting to HarperCollins?

Looks to be a pirate copy, I've reported it to HarperCollins.
