Google books often shows different pages for each person that views the preview. Especially if you search for stuff before you use up your maximum number of pages.

Yes, it would take ages to decipher and check every math detail, you already worked miracles!
As ibid said, by repeating refresh one can view 60% of the book.

Real pictures from the trade edition have been uploaded on amazon.co.uk :
I like the "dark purple" vibe of it, especially on the spine.

Unless there are variations in the printing of the dust-jacket, these photos make the cover look much more purple than it really is: which is, blue with hints of purple in the light come through the Kalakirya.

These photos have been very obviously colour adjusted (increased the saturation primarily, I think). They did exactly the same for the recent Illustrated Silmarillion "photoshoot", which also looked quite different than the real books.

Can't wait for this one to arrive and start reading!
Also, makes me really want HC to do individual HoME/HotH hardbacks in this style...

I am hearing from a couple of USA bookstores that stock has been delivered, and some of them are putting them up on the shelves. Keep an eye out!

"I have exposed my heart to be shot at...."
I sure hope people have been given sufficient information to know what the book is, and what it is not. And of course that those who purchase/read it find at least something in it to enjoy and justify it!

Having only read the table of contents, I think most people will find *something* both accessible and of interest. I think some prior Middle-earth works in recent years have perhaps been marketed to make them seem like something they aren't and have caught people out, but I don't get that impression with this one. I'm looking forward to my pre-order arriving in a month or two (NZ is in lockdown, so post is going to be pretty slow).
