Jo sent me a (PDF) copy of the invoice. A paper copy, I gather, will be shipped with the book itself. On the invoice it will state the number of the copy you've be sent.

Great, thanks for the replies. I've just emailed Jo so hopefully should get an invoice shortly.

When I'll receive the book I'll just look at the signed plate, the number should be stated also there, not only on the invoice right ?

Don't know, I'm sure as soon as someone gets there copy they will post some pictures of the slipcase and the limitation page.

I assume so. If the copy number was only on the invoice it would be kind of irrelevant.

Here’s a picture of my limitation page.
Sadly, mine arrived in USA with a bit of damage to the upper-right corner of the front board, and a bit of compression to the bottom of the spine. My estimation is the slipcase acted as the anvil to FedEx’s hammer, as it itself is undamaged. Too bad.
Overall pleased with the presentation though. Might be the worlds most expensive buckram slipcase, but it is hard to say anything bad about it. I like the interior in particular.
Edit: no paper receipt to speak of.
Edit 2: reading through this thread’s earlier posts again, I do have to laugh at the notion that FedEx somehow offers greater assurance of items arriving undamaged. Of the three American parcel services, it has always proven by far to be the worst. Might be different in the UK or elsewhere. My experience is not unexpected in the least. Godspeed to the rest of you deluxers.

Mine arrived (here in Maryland, USA) just now, safe and sound. No. 23.

The "tax invoice" was attached to the outside of my fedex package, as it might be needed by customs/import process. Do you still have your box?

Merlin Unwin Books did a fantastic job packing, for me at least. More than an inch of bubblewrap between any book surface and the cardboard box, plus tissue paper wrapping on the trade edition. Fedex did fine with the box too, no bashed corners or tire-marks.

Outstanding packing! 😊 Hope it will be the same thing for my book. It s very kind of them to wrap it like this
