Just got my book, wrapped in the same excellent manner:
Thank you Merlin Unwin Books

Congrats Emilien, being the fastest when ordering

Thanks Ithildin. I have to be patient now. Fastest when ordering, but probably one of the last when receiving.

But this is all because of my personal situation.

I just received my copy earlier today, number 7. It has a small tear on the jacket, but like the other copies it was packaged really well. My major concern is that the signed plate is nearly detached. Did this happen also to others ? Should I get in touch with Joanne?

The plate is fixed only on one side in my book as well. I think this is intended. But you should get in touch with Joanne cause of the wrapper. Certainly she will send you a replacement.

I agree, all the signed bookplates are likely glued down the left edge only. Mine certainly is as well, it seems intentional and not a big deal. Just don't tug on it! ?

Glueing down the plate only via the left edge is... odd.

For tipped in leaves/illustrations/plates, a narrow strip of glue down the left edge is very common, has been for over a century at least.

Also confirming my plate is only partially glued.

Yes for illustration plates, and it is so they don't get glue bumps, but I haven't personally seen it for small limitation plates. I guess maybe the page underneath will turn slightly more freely. It doesn't really matter, just surprises me in this case.
