Print on Demand Posters (Bodleian Library Oxford Store)

Saw this on Reddit

I recently discovered that the University of Oxford has a print-on demand option where one can purchase prints of Tolkien's art as well as some maps of Middle-Earth. These can be on photograph paper or on canvas (which has slightly larger size options).

The photographic paper prints are of great quality. I’ve ordered some prints in different sizes (Bilbo size L 70cm, Roverandom size M 50cm and Rivendell size XS 25cm, which is original size)

These look really great, too bad the shipping costs are so high, even for just a without-frame poster.

Oh, I only paid £13 for shipping to Germany. The prints came in a tube and were shipped from Spain, so no customs fees at all ?

Were they printed in Spain? POD obviously allows for this.

The PoD company Museoteca is based in Madrid, Spain and ships from there for all of the museums (worldwide) that they offer these services for.

Thank you for sharing these here! I had posted on Reddit and had half a mind to post here, but wasn't sure if this content would fly here.
Does anyone have any insight into the Canvas material over the photographic paper? I'm wondering what the relative advantages of the Canvas would be.

One difference is that the Canvas is available in a slightly larger size - but I'm not sure how crucial that is since the paper options allow for up to 80 cm (which is quite large in my book!).

And those photos look lovely, Ithildin!

So is it "25cm" (if I wanted this) all-in including the white border? Or the the image is 25cm & the actual size will be slightly bigger with that non-optional white border? I'm thinking I could get some Silmarillion ones & bind them into a copy; as 25cm is book dimension territory...

The Image total size in the description give you the real dimension of the drawing, without white border.
The Print total size means drawing plus border

The 'Bilbo comes to the Huts of the Raft-elves' looks rather stunning framed so.
