EDIT: Nah, not Ted. The first name looks like Ted but the second is too small and it appears there is an LLC at the end.

The LLC appears to be Amazon, so it looks like they own the artwork, which means it is likely to be by John Howe.

Interesting that it has a Prime Video logo at the bottom on the rear cover. The cover artist appears to be named there too. Which I think may say Ted Nasmith.

The Peter Jackson film tie-ins had New Line Cinema logos on the back as well (The Hobbit tie-ins may have been Warner Brothers, but I don’t have any of those).

Ahh thanks Trotter. I have never so much as held them so had never seen the logo.

This is the US picture, again tiny differences to the UK edition.

and the HarperCollins Brazil edition appears to be a hardback which shows more of the painting.

It is this scene from a different angle of Galadriel and Gil-galad in Lindon. Possibly she is being given Nenya in the scene.

The back cover says (from what I can tell) "Cover art © 2022 Amazon Content Services LLC"

Reminds me of the style Howe used for his Barrels out of Bond (or 'Barrels out of Bounds' as WarnerBrothers called it) artwork which WB used as part of it's "Ultimate Middle Earth Blu-ray" collection.

I just received the UK HarperCollins TV series tie-in LOTR paperbacks. I thought I would share a few side by side photos of the HC set compared to the US William Morrow books.

The HC set is on top or to the left in the exterior images and HC appears first in the interior images.

Not sure if it is the photo or not - but the William Morrow books seem to have 3 different heights?

Note the WM books are a larger format than the HC set. But, yes, my WM Two Towers is a tad taller than the other 2 WM books. So much for consistency…
