Found in Brian Sibley's social media spaces:

One of Alan Lee's dramatic new illustrations for the soon-to-be-published THE FALL OF NÚMENOR depicting a doomed procession of the Faithful on their way to be sacrificed at Sauron's temple to Morgoth on Númenor.

Reddit user Ghaldaki's local German bookshop had The Fall of Númenor in early and let them pick up their pre-order early. They posted the table of contents (in German) when asked and provided this summary/overview:

The book itself has a map of Numenor and one of Middle-earth at the end of the Third Age and is composed of the Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-earth, Lord of the Rings, volumes of the History of Middle-earth and other sources.

It starts with an excerpt from "The Council of Elrond" when Elrond spoke about Sauron and the Rings. Finally, a preface as well as an introduction. It starts chronologically, in year 1 of the Second Age with the founding of the Grey Havens and Lindon and ends with the defeat of Sauron and the end of the Second Age.

The appendices consist of a short chronicle of the Third Age, the Numenoric chapter of "The Lost Road", as well as notes, bibliography and acknowledgements.

I took their pics and ran them through an online OCR/Translation tool and put the English Translations into an album and figured I'd share them here.

Opening matter (copyright page, list of plates, introductions): ... d/9780008537838-item.html

First couple of chapters:

(Of particular note, the copyright page attributes the Tolkien content to The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, The Lost Road, Sauron Defeated, Morgoth’s Ring, The Peoples of Middle-earth, and The Nature of Middle-earth

The only 2022 copyright notices are for Brian Sibley's "Introduction, notes and commentary" and for Alan Lee's illustrations.

There also are excerpts in the previews from Letters though, so this is not an exhaustive list.)

Wir sprechen mit Brian Sibley über Brian Sibley – und über das BBC-Hörspiel und Peter Jackson und die Ringe der Macht und auch ein wenig über den Untergang von Númenor – und und und…

As always with the TolkCast, you will first hear the English original and then the German translation. If you want to jump directly to the German version, you can do so using the chapter markers.

Sawn the trade and deluxe edition a bit early in Paris today. Didn't purchase them as I'm waiting for my signed copies to arrive, but they look gorgeous.
Spotted 2 new illustrations by A. Lee which are really beautifull !

Nice remy !
Could you check how's the paper in the deluxe (text/illustrations)? Is it the same than for the rest of the classic deluxe editions (heavy weight paper for the text / glossy paper fro the illustrations) ; or is it the same than for the recent illustrated deluxes (same paper for both text and pictures)?
