Picked up a cheap The Lord of the Rings, one-volume edition, paperback, George Allen & Unwin, 1972, eleventh impression. Not very rare, of course, but in a very good condition.

To my surprise, the cover of my 11th impression book is the same as the 12th impression 1973 on TolkienBooks.net (the letter "O" does not cross the tree, the letters have a black border, etc). It is not the same as the 11th impression cover on TolkienBooks.

Does anyone else have the 1972, eleventh impression? Which version of the cover do you have?

Thanks, Gawain. It's a bit interesting - were there two states of the 11th impression?
