I've noticed this recently. When there is a Buy-it-now auction with a Best offer option, & a best offer is excepted --it tells you that a best offer has been accepted, but the price isn't visible. For example:

J.R.R. Tolkien. The Peoples of Middle-Earth. UK 1st Edition.

How do you know or find out what price was actually accepted? I've gone through finished auctions but it still doesn't say what price it went for. It didn't used to be like this. When you went into "See original listing" it used to state what the "Sold for" price was. In fact if was often hard to find out what the original Buy-it-now price was, as this just disappeared.

Anyone any ideas?

Yep i have an idea and indeed the answer ! This item sold for £295.

Ebay seem to have changed soem of their displays.
Like you Khamul I found this rather annoying but here's the odd thing. If I go into ebay mobile via say our Kindle and search for sold items (which you can do on the mobile app) it shows all the sold prices inc the best offer prices accepted!
Crazy but true and thus I just checked and this went for £295. Rather high but hey ho
Why you cant do this via your home pc i dont know ??!?!?
