A fully handwritten letter to Mr. Ready (Marquette) was recently covered on Antiques Roadshow here in the USA. The following link has a short video clip of the appraisal, as well as the full text of the letter reproduced. I found it interesting!

Having watched the video, the "expert" made a lot of mistakes when discussing the letter, which is not good for the viewing public :)

It definitely had the feel of someone who did a quick wikipedia search to brush up on details, not someone who knows everything. I find that quite common on Antiques Roadshow, as they are working with a handful of generalists on site, they can't bring in a true expert in the single day of filming.

Mostly I liked seeing the letter itself, almost like I was the one handling it.
