The cartoon strip from which this was taken is my all-time favourite: Bloom County! It's about twenty years old. So yes; fan edit. It's very good; the font is just like the original.

My only question is how come Hammond & Scull weren't included.

Maybe because it's hard to find a good rhyme for "Hammond" or "Scull"?
