Tolkien Collecting News : Simon and Schuster - "Here, There Be Dragons"
Posted by Urulókë on 2006/9/28 23:50:00 (544 reads)

James A. Owen's children's book, Here, There Be Dragons is to be published next week, with a huge initial print run of 100,000 copies.

"The book brings together three strangers -- John, Jack and Charles -- in London during World War I, where they become entrusted with the Imaginarium Geographica, an atlas of all the lands that have ever existed in myth and legend, fable and fairy tale."

As it turns out, the three main characters are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and Charles Williams. The movie rights have been pre-emptively optioned (and reportedly fast-tracked) by Warner Brothers Pictures.

Simon and Schuster plan on releasing 6 more books in the series, one each October.
