According to the memoirs of Ed Meskys, "The LASFen started a Tolkien club, "Fellowship of the Ring," with an Official Organ, I PALINTIR. They held their organizational meeting at Pittcon, the 1960 Worldcon.... The Fellowship published four issues of I PALINTIR before the group petered out." (The View From Entropy Hall #12)

Ted Johnstone is the pseudonym for David McDaniel, author of a number of The Man From U.N.C.L.E novels and at least one The Prisoner novel.
