<description>I went to the Royal Albert Hall in London last night to see the premier of this event. In most respects it was the same as advertised for New York. Howard Shore talked about the music for the Fellowship of the Ring before the film started. The conductor was Ludwig Wicki, and the orchestra was the London Philharmonic Orchestra, plus the London Oratory Boys Choirs and London Voices (Male and Female Choirs). These were essentially the same orchestra and choir who performed on the soundtrack for the film.

I can recommend going to see this as it is very interesting to see the orchestra and the choir, you don't really look at the film and the talk by Howard was also very interesting. I'd recommend going if you can get to one of these events.

Last nights UK performance was sold out so it may be hard to get tickets unless you book early.
