Joy Hill writes to filmmaker John Boorman at Tolkien's request. Tolkien is sorry that Boorman has been ill, and hopes that Boorman will be able to visit him. Tolkien is very keen to hear any plans for the film project, and whether it will be animated or not. She had been in touch with Father Maguire previously but as he is going on a trip, she is writing to Boorman directly.
