Wow, that is a worse idea for a book than any of my daft-ideas-that-never-quite-make-it-past-a-synopsis. And I have hashed together stories about evil Nazis using Jewish children as "canaries" for WW2 time/travel wormhole experiments, so I am fully experienced in bad ideas for fiction. I clearly should have added JRRT to the mix and I would have been onto a winner.
