I haven't got that email yet.
I have received that email in the past, generally when I have preordered a book and it hasn't been published at the time of the email ie. Tolkien Studies, etc). Does anyone know if HarperCollins will be publishing the book? Dior

HM are publishing the book in mid August according to Amazon; so one assumes the '1st August' release for the audio may be in error (Yes/No?). Would the audio precede the book?; don't think so. Think I'm just going to piggyback 49p audio with the book. They'll undoubtedly be available pretty close to each other you would think...
Strange that HC aren't publishing on this side of the pond though (if this is the case). Resident HC-buddy Beren may know more of the reason(s) behind this!  BH

Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de now state that the publication date is 30 January 2009 for the HM edition.
