How legitimate does this look?

It has some elements that look quite 'Tolkienish' - e.g. the signature line under Tolkien - but that's all. The t, k and n in Tolkien are very different from his handwriting
I am quite sure it is a fake.
A shame to ruin a rare book with a fake signature...

Selling this item, you need to state "Who is Nate" and when did he get Tolkien to sign this for him? Seller has not provided this info

Here is what he sent me:

Dear tolkien_hunter,

Hello and thank you for your interest in our auction. We are selling this book on behalf of the daughter of the recipient of the dedication/signature. He was a student at Oxford in the late 50's. I hope this helps.

I replied to him that this was not enough info. Someone will spend thousands of dollars on this tough. I wish people would just not buy signed work without good provenance so the markey for fakes would go away.
