Now I'm torn.

I knew I should have ordered a copy of LoTR when orders were still open, and now with their second hand prices standing between $2500 and $5000, I fear I'll never get to own one. This same regret is urging me to get a copy of The Hobbit when its available, but at the same time, whats the point of getting a copy if I can't get a set of the LoTR.

*SIGH*....

The modern age sadly. An announcement that then leads to the announcement of a tease, following that will be the announcement of the announcement to announce the preorder, followed by a count-down to the pre-order, and then a period of teases and reminders that it is being released. For all their failings with quality control, I do appreciate how HarperCollins just annoucne the title, the preorders turn up and then the release happens.

I am a bit worried those of us who bought LOTR will not get matching rights either…

Having both with different numbering will not be great for my psychological state 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Wel,l this is an individually numbered, limited-edition item. I see it as the publisher doing their best to let know people know that it’s coming; (and steps along the way) so that those interested and willing to pay will be able to get one.

Haha I second this emotion!!

One reason I didn’t buy the LotR set was because one of the Alan Lee illustrations, the winged fell beast the Nazgul is riding, looks like a 300 year old ostrich that’s starving to death.

It still bothers me that they didn’t make him redraw that one 😂.

But now that hobbit is on its way, I kinda wish I had. The after market prices are too much for me.
