HaHaHa.
"WHO I BELIVE TO BE.. JRR TOLKIEN.. this is only what i belive.. as there are some similarities..!!!" At least they are honest. I love their reasoning "THE BOTTOM OF THE PICTURE DOES SAY (SUFFIELD) WHICH HIS MOTHER WAS MABEL SUFFIELD.."

I found this on eBay today. Is it a new edition of the paperback edition of LoSaG? Or is there another explanation? (Perhaps a pre-publishing cover design?) The seller mentioned '2010' as the publishing year, so it has to be a new edition. I wouldn't have thought that that many copies were sold of the LoSaG...
No matter what it is, I think it is a beautiful design... Attach file: 7240.JPG (44.46 KB)![]()

I agree it is abeautiful design. For those who don't know, it is Arthur Rackham's illustration (for an English translation of Wagner's Ring Cycle) of Wotan, riding his eight-legged horse, Sleipnir, (you can see multiple legs in the picture) in pursuit of his disobedient daughter Brunnhilde.
Later, in Wagner's version, Brunnhilde will become the lover of Siegfried (Sigurd), himself the grand-child of Wotan.
