According to Amazon a paperback edition of this book will be published on July 16th, with a friendlier price tag.

Embarrassingly, Doug has included a quote from the review I wrote for Tolkien Library on the back cover of the paperback!
Just for information, the original Hb had two impressions; OOP from the publisher. It has now been reprinted (or is just about to be) again (with a few corrections; also included in the Pb) in a slightly altered format: the cover has been changed slightly in layout, and is now (I think) without jacket. (Illustrative boards I assume.) This can be viewed here:- Rowman & Littlefield The Book Depository prices seem to have gone up. The cheapest UK price for the Pb still seems to be on Amazon, currently available to pre-order. BH
