J.R.R. Tolkien - The Fellowship Of The Ring, 1st Edition, 4th Impression. Perhaps (£169) the other end of the price range, but not untypical. BH

J.R.R. Tolkien, Fellowship of the Ring, 1966, last impression before the 2nd Actually, think this might belong in another part of the forum...  BH

It was in fact I who bought the fourth impression FOTR earlier today! If the book matches the description gven, it will be a decent price for the book.
I agree that it should be possible, even now, to put together a reasonable first edition set for £30 to £50 for each volume. However, you will have to keep your eyes open, take your time and not be tempted to overbid!
